Wichita, KS
The August primary election includes a proposed constitutional amendment that would change how Kansas Supreme Court justices are selected.
Join us for a discussion of what’s on the ballot, how the primary election process works, and what the proposed changes could mean for Kansans. Whether you’re just learning about the amendment or already following the issue closely, this conversation will provide the context you need before casting your vote.
The registration fee is $10, payable at the door or in advance, and will go to the League of Women Voters Wichita Metro. Get your tickets at https://bit.ly/UnderstandingElection
Voter to Voter Help. Email tech@lwvwichita.org for Zoom Link
Our League of Women Voters of Wichita Metro has 20 Voter to Voter Ambassadors. If each of us reaches out to just 10 friends, family members, or neighbors and encourages them to vote, we‘ve had meaningful conversations with 200 people.
That may not sound like a large number—but we are part of something much bigger.
Across Kansas, there are 2,667 Voter to Voter ambassadors. If each ambassador contacts just 10 people in their personal network, together we will have reached 26,670 Kansas voters. That‘s the power of one conversation multiplied thousands of times.
To help us prepare for the August 4 primary election, all ambassadors are invited to attend the Virtual Primary Kickoff on Tuesday, July 7, at noon. You‘ll hear practical outreach ideas, learn about new resources, and receive an in-depth briefing on the Constitutional Amendment that will appear on the primary ballot. Get your Zoom link below to join the kickoff!

Ready to put your civic engagement into action?
Every vote matters, but many voters don‘t realize there‘s an important election coming up this August. Join the Badass Women of Wichita Alliance and the League of Women Voters for a community postcard-writing campaign to encourage participation in the upcoming election. Together, we‘ll send handwritten reminders to voters who haven‘t cast a ballot in recent elections, helping ensure more people are informed, engaged, and ready to make their voices heard.
