Communications
The Communications Committee helps manage the League website, creates content for League social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and helps craft messaging for League activity. The committee also produces the monthly newsletter The VOTER. This committee is looking for volunteers with experience in any of these areas: using social media, creating graphics, PR/Media, writing press releases.
Leadership Board
The Wichita-Metro board leads the work of our local league. The board consists of elected officers, the co-presidents, secretary and treasurer, and elected directors, all of whom serve 2 year terms. The directors chair or co-chair the committees for the league's work. The co-presidents may also appoint additional board members as needed for one year terms.
Membership
The Membership Committee is the welcome party of the League. Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all members. The committee works to invite new members to join, mentor new members, and extend personal invitations to special league events.
Tuesday Topics
The Tuesday Topics Committee manages the Tuesday Topics program for the League. This group recruits new speakers, writes speaker reports and thank yous, and introduces speakers at each event.
Voter Services
The Voter Services Committee helps achieve one of the core missions of the League: registering and informing voters. The committee volunteers to run voter registration booths at events, organizes candidate forums, and much more.
