LWV Wichita-Metro Leadership

The Wichita-Metro board leads the work of our local league. The board consists of elected officers, the co-presidents, secretary and treasurer, and elected directors, all of whom serve 2 year terms. The directors chair or co-chair the committees for the league's work. The co-presidents may also appoint additional board members as needed for one year terms.

Jessica Maldonado is a native of Wichita, Kansas and an enthusiastic advocate for justice and community engagement. Raised on C-SPAN and City7 TV, she has always been passionate about civic affairs and community activism. Her commitment to public service has led her to volunteer with many organizations throughout the community, and she is excited to bring her energy and experience to her new role as Co-President of the League of Women Voters of Wichita-Metro. With a lifelong commitment to justice for all, Jessica is dedicated to unlocking community knowledge, promoting fair elections, and empowering citizens to make informed decisions.

Nancy Brown

Nancy Brown has been a member of the League for about two years, but a fan for decades. The League has always been her best resource in preparing for every election, so she could make intelligent, informed choices. Nancy also enjoyed serving on the Voter Services committee, supporting the continued commitment to educating voters on the issues and candidates for every election. Nancy enjoys helping people register to vote, encouraging them that each voice matters.
