The League of Women Voters of Wichita Metro is joining community partners and organizations across the country in civic action marking the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

In Wichita, we are partnering with Defend Democracy ICT by joining its weekly Saturday gathering. The League will host a civic information table in the shade of the Ruffin Building at East Douglas and North Broadway on Saturday, August 8th.

Bring a sign supporting voting rights and join us as we stand together for a strong and inclusive democracy. Those who cannot safely be outside in the heat can still participate by driving through the Douglas and Broadway intersection, displaying a sign, honking, and waving in support.
