Suffrage turns 90 in 2010

This year marks the anniversary of a landmark event in women's history: the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution giving women the right to vote after a 72-year struggle. To promote and celebrate this momentous event in history, the League of Women Voters-Wichita Metro organization has scheduled a series of events to be held through the summer.
